This account's basically died over the years, as it's become harder to have the energy to maintain multiple accounts across multiple platforms. These days, you can find me more active on Twitter w the name RunicNature

Hope everyone's been well. I might scrap everything in the current gallery and start posting all of my new things I've done the last couple of years. I dunno! Itll be a pretty big undertaking to clean up this gallery, and I may just create a new one entirely

Edit 6/25/18: got back from the appraiser this morning aaannnddd apparently he hit me hard enough to have split the hitch assembly from the frame and knocked my gas gauge sensor loose. So now it super bothers me that i cant remember anything about the point of impact :(

Edit 6/24/18- vent: I'm so tired of my head feeling like its stuck in a hydraulic press, of my neck being stiff to the point where no matter what position i'm in i can't be comfortable, not to mention these goddamn sounds ringing in my head. I cant drive anywhere because its overstimulating to the point where i shut down, and knowing that i wont be back to 100% for weeks just seems to make it so much worse

Edit 6/22/18: Got back from the hospital a bit ago, and i do indeed have a concussion along with whiplash and elevated blood pressure, so that's fun. Commissions will be put on hold for a bit while I recover

Edit 6/21/18: so i'm actually gonna be heading into urgent care in the morning. I've been experiencing excessive tiredness, disorientation, and i've had a dull headache. So i'm gonna go get checked out to make sure everyrhing's okay

So i'm not even sure where to begin with this. I'm not writing to garner sympathy but like...i care about people's safety on the road and stuff and i want my story to go out there as a sort of word of caution for everyone.

So yesterday I was in an accident. A guy rear ended me. We were stopped at a stop light and there was an ambulance coming in oncoming traffic, and naturally the stoplight turned green for the ambulance. I was in the front of the line, so I stayed stopped just in case the ambulance needed to turn in front of me. Well the guy that was behind me wasn't paying attention (he said he was looking for the source of the sirens, but i suspect he was actually texting but whatever, he claimed fault) and he noticed the rest of traffic moving, so he stepped on the accelerator and rammed right into the back of my still-stopped truck. He, of course, accepted fault and we got the insurance stuff done then and there and within three hours his insurance processed his liability and my truck is set to start repairs at a shop on monday. (no, we didn't call cops, since it was pretty clear who was at fault)

His car was totaled, and my truck going to have to get the rear bumper replaced, the alignment fixed, and probably several other small things including making sure the hitch assembly wasn't effected.

But like.

Guys

please be pro-active when you're driving. If you're stopped at a stop light, put a smart car's length between you and the vehicle in front of you if not more (this way if you're hit from behind, you wont ram into the car in front of you). Pay attention to your surroundings and the cars arround you. Don't cut into lanes unless you have access. Follow two to three car lengths behind the vehicle in front of you. Since my job is a driving to locations job just...like...i see so much shit, but in the 11 years i've been driving, this is my first accident.

I'm still a little shaken up about it, i have mild whiplash from it as well, but we both were lucky that we had no serious injuries and that no other parties were involved.

Stay safe on the roads guys, please. Your safety is more important than anything else while driving.

If you want to see the results of the accident, i have them up here: imgur.com/a/dWmBpIU

The car is the other driver's car, he hit me going anywhere between 5-10mph i think? I don't know because my attention was on making sure the emergency vehicle had room to turn if it needed (which it didn't so that was kinda irritating). My trucks bumper has som nice dents and is crunch down and in a good two inches.

Hey guys!

My mother in law is a resident of Grand Forks, BC. This week there was a pretty major flood that displaced over 1,000 residents- my MiL included.

The city has started a gofundme page in hope that once the waters have receded, they can begin rebuilding and repairing. If anyone can spare the funds, I would be eternally grateful, and if you would like to donate to my mother in law directly, you can do so through me as i have a way to wire funds to her, just send me a message.

Thanks guys

Health Grumps..

I Dunno, I guess I just need a small vent.

So as a merchandiser, my job requires lots of driving. More and more lately, I have been noticing that I have been getting such bad headaches from driving. Bad headaches lead to supreme light sensitivity which leads to extreme fatigue and just spirals from there.

I thought maybe it was just part of my fibromyalgia, but i guess yesterday something in me just sort of snapped. I was fuckin tired of my head feeling like it was being squeezed and I needed answers. To google i went!

I came across a website from a Neuro Visual center based in New York and was greatly surprised to find that the website was basically describing my life. Like holy shit, I had been feeling all of these symptoms for so damn long and I just assumed it was part of the incurable disease I already have- the constant pain in my head, the pressure, the constant eye strain, light sensitivity, motion sickness, etc.

But Vertical Heterophoria. I experience literally every. damn. Symptom. Every day. All day. It's basically a tiiiinnnyyy misalignment of the eyes that causes your eye muscles to overcompensate to create a clear and even picture for your brain.

In my excitement at finding out the potential name to my problems, i also came across a sort of test from the Neuro Visual center and quickly did it.

I got the email with the results this morning and i scored a 42. Anything above a 15 is an almost definite for Binocular Visual Dysfunction, which includes, YOU GUESSED IT, Vertical Heterophoria...but here's the kicker.

There's no specialists here. None. The closest one is 2 and a half hours away, and once i move they will be more than ten hours away. It's almost crushing, being so close to the answers for so many of your problems only to have them just out of your reach.

I suppose I will just have to continue dealing with this godawful pain, and this godawful fatigue this stupid fucking pain brings- just like i deal with the goddamn fibromyalgia daily...i shouldn't be so effected by this, but dammit I am...
